Marriage is holy and pure, it is to make sure that human relationship is going well and under control. If all human practice free sex, then there will be a collapse to a human civilization and of course will bring a God's wrath.
We are all a creature, and we cannot live freely in this world and the best is to be under God's rule or law. But human deny it and try to create their own law. And the result is, more war, killing, crimes and so on.
In case of marriage, honesty, love, patient and so on are really important. If we just married someone because of his/her face, because of materialistic then that marriage usually won;t last long and will not have happiness and peaceful.
Like in my religion, we're encourage to love our couple for the sake of Allah. And if both of us intend the same thing, so we will get spirit, faith and undertake to face any burden and willing to accept anything that God gives us, because we know we're just live in this world temporary, not eternal, We will face death someday, all human will face death. Today, average age of human life is only until 80 years and that is not so long time. Besides, many of us today die in a young ages.
And that's all wiil bring us peace, what else more valuable than peace in mind? If we got so much money but our mind not stay in peace so what's the use of money??? Is money is use only to brag between us? Is money can buy anything?? I think all of us can answer that in your own perception.
