hellppppp.....why i can't log on to my windows xp...it's always display a 'welcome screen' but never logon to a windows... please help..

i don't understand you correctly don't you see the users or you enter in user but there is nothing in the windows no icons no shortcts nothing at all

if you don't see the users try safe mode and see what come up
if you enter in user but there is nothing try ctrl+alt+delete then click on run then write explorar

It is not related with windows xp . I think it is just the problem of your computer. You could try in 2 ways I think.

1: press F8 when you open it and click the laster set up

2: relaod the computer.

kenshin, do you use user acc and admin acc or just use only one acc(admin)? if only one: reboot computer. if more then 2 user: should check again by admin-log in computer

hmm..very strange .
try to go in safe mode ( boot yout pc, then press F8 and log in safe mode )
and other option is to reinstall windows

if you use pc with another one and don't see your acc at the screen, should check that he or she has delete your acc. of you can reboot computer

i think you havet lost you userinit.exe files on windows system32 folder, you have to restore it from your original windows xp cd
