here is a simple policy edit to disable windows messenger from loading at startup.

start --> run --> gpedit.msc --> user configuration --> admin template --> windows component --> windows messenger --> double click ---->select disable.

I only use my ace utilities to disable my mesengger. Its working and i have no time to do that. My ace utilities already help me many things. Actually, thanks for sharing with us.

acutally dun hav to be so troublesome bout it.
U can go to ur msn messenger Tools>Options>General>
then untick the "Automatically run Windows Live Messenger when I log on to Windows"

You can stop auto start for almost any program, my computer->manage-> services and aplications. Or use your unninstaler it`s good !
