is there any free antivirus for linux???
and i have heard that every linux distro have its own version, like mandriva can not use suse antivirus ???
Have anyone try at home ?

You can try the evaluating version of Panda antivirus for Linux. on there official website or on download.com.

You might try www.grisoft.com for a free copy of AVG anti virus program.

Yes i agree with fishultras u should use avg its better and its free instead of using Panda antivirus that i suggest.

Yes, i agree with you both, use AVG, is way better than panda antivirus and it runs even faster on linux than it does on windows.

u know why linux looks like never have some AV ??
Because we come from indonesia..lol
Well i have use lavasoft for linux as best AV...

When i go to grisoft.com i get 3 link for free linux avg, all have about 12mb, which one i should choose? i use paln installing Suse 10.1 ???

I hight recomment you try use Panda Antivirus for Linux.
# Processor: 486 or faster.
# RAM: 32 MB.
# Hard Disk: 20 MB free space.
Operating System: Red Hat (versions 6.0, 6.1, 6.2, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3 or 8.0), SuSE version 7.3, Mandrake (versions 8.0, 8.1, 8.2 or 9.0) o Debian 2.1.

Panda is shareware right? its mean thet we must register it after 30days trial or get the ugly nag screen

Sorry i wrong , you need a freeware not share ware you can try use Free AVG Anti-Virus for Linux , now i thinks it better than a free antivirus for linux.
