Default Using Linux ??? :(

I have plan to using Linux in my computer for permanent !
but i got confuse about it, the problem is, i have try few different Linux distro, i have try : ubuntu, simply mempis, suse 10.1, mandriva 2007free, knoopix, but all have the "same", the look, the name, start menu, (alls looks same for me ), so which one i should choose, if all is looks same for me? maybe because i used windows to long

And for the Security, is there any "free" antivirus for Linux? or it doesn't need it at all?

if you are long using windows...try to familiarize with linux before install it permanently..

there is also not permanent linux that you can use..

i ussually use knoppix cd live 5.0...this one is knoppix linux that play from cd..so no need to install..just put in the cdrom..and boot..

Well, if you decided to install Linux, so I recommend Knoppix version (bootable from CD-Rom), but I suggest you to stay with Windows, in my opinion Linux is better for servers than for personal using.
