The HD-DVD was voted the successor to the DVD by DVD Forum, an international organization comprising hardware, software, media and content companies that use and develop the DVD format. But many companies support Blu-ray. In the battle of HD-DVD vs. Blu-ray, who do you think will win? Why?

I think DVD will win because many people all over the world use it, Blu Ray only use by some people and most of them is companies.

I dont know what is blue-ray. can u give more details pls?

i dont know which will win, but i think there is a company which working on a drive that can play both types. this will really cancel the problems of which drive to get.

but i dont even have HD television now so no where to hurry

Now it difficulty to know , who are winer .Blu-ray with : Panasonic, LG Electronics, Philips Electronics Disney ,Fox support.
and HD DVD with : Toshiba, NEC, Warner Home Video support.

HD-DVD now have advantage because it is based on DVD which is very familiar with us. Blue-ray may have potential, actually when we have blue-ray, we may have HD-blue-ray later. But it is a hard work to let people know about it

blu-ray of course, they have more market than hd-dvd and they gonna win because of ps3

i think HD DVD will win a lot of people using it.

I dont know whos going to win but one thing that could make a difference are the nex gen console. If 360 wins hd-dvd wins and if ps3 wins blue ray wins.

The one who more cheaper, more compatible, will win , but i don't know which one is? its economic rules !!!
